About the show

Jerry Seinfeld is a symbol of modern stand-up comedy. Everyone who’s in love with this type of entertainment knows about him as a “legacy” of the craft.

Seinfeld once said: “It’s not the easiest thing to try and put a smile on a face. But it’s always worth it.” His passion for comedy is confirmed, and his performances are always made in a clean but unique way.

I didn’t know a simple topic (that I thought could not be funny) could be translated into a blast of laughter until the Jerry Seinfeld show. He built up a comedy empire based on pure and ordinary materials, causing the audience to laugh until they cried.

The one and only Seinfeld is a talented observer who grabs the little (and may seem pointless) things and delivers them into his stand-up routine. I bet you never think twice about everyday stuff, such as airplane food or the missing socks in the laundry. Me, neither. Yet, with the cleverness of Jerry Seinfeld, these overlooked things are transformed enough to tickle you.

Another thing that impressed me about this famed comedian was that he never over-complicated things. His straight-up punchlines hit the audience right in their funny bone. His show went smoothly, and it seemed like he counted every word and moment for his jokes to land.

If you’ve watched performances of other comedians, you may come to the same conclusion as mine: the Jerry Seinfeld show is clean and family-friendly.

The performer uses light-hearted materials that are suitable for all audiences, even kids. He does not need to talk about shocking events, crude jokes, or adult content to make his observational comedy laugh out loud.

That’s enough revelation for now, and my part is done. It’s now your turn to buy a ticket and enjoy an endless barrage of laughs made by Jerry Seinfeld!

What we like

  • Intelligent humor: I need to compliment Jerry’s sharp and intellectual comedy. It seems to me that he had a deep observation of daily life, human nature, and the world around us. He can point out the quirks and absurdities and turn them into laughs.
  • Wide range of topics and new materials: Since he puts his thorough thoughts on everything, he tries to come up with new materials. Though sometimes, you may see repetition (if you watched Jerry many times), I can’t deny his devotion to incorporating new ideas.
  • Clean show without foul language and nasty subjects: I like the way the performer keeps his act family-friendly without offensive humor. The absence of foul language and dark jokes make the audience feel comfortable to watch.

What we don’t like

  • Sometimes, there’s lots of screaming and wild gestures from the performers. I admit that these unusual exaggerating acts are not necessary since they cause an overloading feeling for certain audiences.
  • Some audiences may feel uncomfortable with the way Jerry interacts with them. Interaction with audiences is what a stand-up comedian usually does to keep the engagement, yet in Jerry’s case, sometimes, I found it turned into an invasive situation.
  • Jerry used some same old jokes. This was my first time, so I really enjoyed it. But my buddy is a fan of Seinfeld and has watched or even remembered his classic jokes, and he felt a bit disappointed and craved something new. But
  • The ticket price is quite expensive. As I know, other big-name comedians offer their shows at a more reasonable price. Meanwhile, even Jerry’s fans may give up their chances to see him due to the expensive ticket.

Is Jerry Seinfeld Worth Watching?

It’s a yes for Jerry Seinfeld fans, yet there are other comedy shows worth watching for a cheaper price. For me, it’s great to enjoy the show for the first time. However, as he tends to repeat the same old jokes and slapsticks, I would not come to it again if you asked me.

If you can’t afford the most expensive seats in the central front, then choose the aisle seats in sections 102, 103, 105, and 106. They cost about $200.

However, the best deal for me is Section 204 in the middle of The Colosseum since I don’t need much interaction with the comedian, but I can still have a front view of the stage. Plus, it’s a budget option of around $160.
